Castel Sant’Angelo, RomeJanuary 10, 2010
Whenever I am in Rome, I always visit Castel Sant’ Angelo, otherwise known as Hadrian’s Tomb. You see I find the light there exquisite. I could spend an entire day, maybe longer, just watching the way the light appears to change the shape and colour of this ancient Roman monument.
Hadrian built the castel as his mausoleum, then in 136 he had my favourite Roman bridge built across the Tiber ... a point of entry to his mausoleum. The castel…
